— Listen to episode #47 here —

I had such an awesome time chatting with Richard, Christel, my good pal Denny, to talk about something that has been part of my life for as long as I can remember: Star Trek.

We focused on Star Trek: Discovery, Season 1, Episode 8, but as you might imagine, it didn’t stay neatly contained there. We wandered through memories, deep cuts, hot takes, and all the strange little moments that come from being a lifelong fan. It was one of those conversations where you forget you’re “recording something” and just end up hanging out with friends who speak the same geek language you do. Thoughtful, funny, occasionally unhinged in the best way, and full of genuine love for the universe Gene Roddenberry started.

What I loved most was how open and welcoming the whole experience felt. Whether you’ve seen every Star Trek episode ten times or you’re brand new to Trek, the show makes space (that’s a pun!) for you. It reminded me why this franchise has meant so much to me over the years. It’s about curiosity, empathy, imagination, and finding community in shared stories. Huge thanks to Richard, Christel, and Denny for inviting me along for the ride. I’m grateful for the conversation, the laughs, and the chance to geek out about something I truly love.

Live long and prosper!
